Fort Lauderdale based Bushwood band has been steadily making its mark on the South Florida music scene. The reggae rock trio has created a unique sound that weaves hypnotic reggae grooves tinged with funk and rock influences. Adam Moskowitz (bass/background vocals), Steve Voronkov (guitar/lead vocals) and Jon Cross (drums and percussion) have created a sound that reflects the laid back/party vibes of their South Florida home. Heavy bass lines over a funky reggae beat laced with bluesy guitar solos, almost compel the listener to get up and dance. Bushwood was formed in 2008 and since then, the band has performed at venues throughout South Florida, gaining new fans along the way.
The band released their self-titled debut album in May 2011. The 10 song CD touches on a range of genres that the band has skillfully and soulfully blended to create their signature sound. Reggae, funk, classic and southern rock influences are cleverly woven together to create a delightful sound that reflects the tropical and carefree South Florida environment. The album was recorded at Contrast Recording Studio in Boca Raton and tracked by recording engineer Richard Salino. The project was mixed and mastered by Eric 'Dirty' Kaufman who works with the Fish Tank studios in St Augustine Florida. The album is available on iTunes, CD Baby and Bandcamp. Lovers of the reggae/rock sound are sure to enjoy this well crafted record.
